A Break from the HEAT

Seems as though nature has decided to 'turn off the heater' for a little while.  After nearly two weeks of triple digits and record breaking temperatures this week started off mercifully normal for July in Maryland.  We took advantage of lower humidity and overcast skies to catch up on some outside chores and to do a brief evening photo session with Hannah, now 10 weeks old.   That 'patchwork quilt' look as they shed out their foals coats is always amusing.   More so at dusk.   Hannah is trying hard to become a liver chestnut, at least around the edges.   Here are a few photos of our "little Katjette," taken as the sun was setting on a 'cool' 90 degree day.
