Yearling 'Class Photos'

As Ishin Maru and Imari passed the year and a half mark it seemed an appropriate time to take their Kindergarten 'School Photos.'    The fall colors provided a perfect backdrop for the pair, appropriately gangly at this stage but always beautiful in our eyes.     They are already getting woolly, and I fear it won't be long until they disappear under winter coats, only to metamorphose again in the springtime.

A few milestones were reached this fall, including bridling, blanketing and working in hand at the walk and trot in preparation for next year's breed shows.     Breeding and breaking age can seem so far away, but as we look back to their births nearly 20 months ago we realize that it will fly by, and soon we will be preparing them for 'college.'    Things to look forward to!
